Franklin Clayton Hayes

Franklin Clayton Hayes – a 76 year-old resident of Satsuma, AL passed away at his home on Saturday, September 10, 2011. Mr. Hayes retired from International Paper Company after 40 years of service as a mechanic. He attended Gateway Baptist Church and was a licensed pilot. Mr. Hayes was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Ethel Hayes; sister, Dixie Hayes; and brothers, Johnny Hayes and James Hayes. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Christine Hayes; children, Sharon Solet (Kirby) and Gregory Hayes (Cheryl); grandchildren, Jeffery Jordan, Brandi Anderson (Chad), and Deanna Hayes; great-grandchildren, Hannah Jordan and Savannah Jordan; sisters, Lee West (Ray) and Yvonne Stanley; traveling friends/neighbors-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 12, from 5- 8 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
