Donald E. Henderson

Donald E. Henderson – an 84 year-old native of State Line, Mississippi and longtime resident of Saraland passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as a roll finish supervisor from International Paper after 36 years of service. Mr. Henderson enjoyed spending time with his family and meals at the Waffle House.

Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Joann Marshall Henderson; parents, Commodore and Lennie Henderson; and brothers, David Henderson and Jerry Henderson. He is survived by his children, Terry Henderson and Angie Christian (Jerome); siblings, Sybil Ruth Howard (Grover), DeVan Henderson, Warren Henderson, and Warniece “Sue” May; grandchildren, Brandon Wiggins (Emily), Hunter Henderson, Tyler Clanton (Crystal), D.J. Christian, and Haley Christian; great-grandchildren, Bentley Benningfield, Tinley Wiggins, and Moxxen Wiggins; other relatives and friends. The family would life to offer a special thank you to Felicia Staniford (caretaker) and the staff at Gordon Oaks, as well as his nurses, Ty and Stacey, at Mobile Infirmary.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the service hour.
