Born May 28, 1963, in Mobile, Alabama, Cynthia Lynn Evans lost her 3 plus year battle with ovarian Cancer on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Cindy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Blake (Hazel); fraternal grandparent, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford W. Evans (Doris); and her mother, Martha B. "Marty" Evans, affectionately known as "Mema" to her 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her father and step mother, Mr. & Mrs. Clifford W. "Wayne" Evans (Martha). Also surviving her is her sister, Beverly Evans Lee and her husband, Doug, and their daughter, Stephani, and son, Cory. Beverly has been by Cindy's side since the beginning of her illness. She has loved, supported, prayed for, and encouraged her and has accompanied her to every test, appointment, and treatment possible. For that, Cindy will be eternally grateful. Beverly will always be her first and most faithful friend. Cindy is also survived by Michelle Baker Dickey and Della "Dee" Sanderson, who have been her loyal and trusted friends for over 20 and 25 years respectively. Childhood friends, Donna Loftin and Cindy McNeil also survive her. Three very special aunts, Alice B. and Bert Blake and Darla Greene also survive her with a special mention to her cousins, Ren Savell, Roseanne Brown, and Mary Larson for their love and support. Finally, Cindy is survived by Beverly Christine Evans, the Best Thing That has Ever Happened to Her, as well as Chrissy's husband, Mark Gatlin, and their two sons, Brantly M. Gatlin, 13, and Jacob D. Gatlin, 11. Cindy was a 17 plus year associate of Saraland Walmart #1212 where she made many friends of both customers and fellow associates. Their love, support, encouragements, and prayers have been appreciated. Linda McKinley, her "Bulldog", Rosanne Stewart, Veronica Davis, Audrey Lloyd, Tonya Purall, Linda Goodman, Barbara Galloway, and Charlotte Craig have been her biggest supporters. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Friday, March 2, 2018, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Casual attire or Alabama attire has been requested. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance, P.O.
