Curtis Walton Jr. United States ARMY Soldier, Daddy, Husband, Friend, Counselor, as of December 26th, 2022, has been awarded an honorable discharge of his earthly duties. Curtis was born October 13th, 1962, in Jackson Mississippi to Mr. Curtis Walton Sr. and Genevia E. Alexander Walton.
Curtis attended Chicago Public schools graduating from Farragut Career Academy High School. After graduation he decided to enlist in the Military. Serving his country for sixteen years as Sergeant First Class in the United States of America ARMY. Sergeant Walton Received an honorable disability discharge from his duties. Curtis received his Bachelor’s degree from Akron University and entered civilian employment. Curtis retired from 3M in November 2022 as a Lead Information Analyst after fifteen years of service.
Curtis was a spiritual man and loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He loved bowling, traveling and fishing. Curtis always enjoyed going to the range, shooting his firearms, and was an accomplished marksman. He had a love of family. Curtis never took for granted the precious moments spent with all. He enjoyed grilling outdoors, riding his motorcycle, and gatherings with family and friends. Curtis loved gaming, all technology and electronics. He always enjoyed Sci-Fi movies, a true Treky, and liked board games with Monopoly at the top of the list. Curtis enjoyed Italian food and would frequent Italian restaurants. He will be remembered for his love of putting on the absolute best Firework display for family and friends alike.
Left to cherish Curtis’s wonderful memories will be his beloved wife; Rosa, children: Kimberly, Blake, Curtis 4th, Shanice, Melvina, Bethani, Justin, Soquaya, daughters'-in-law: Tina, Mary, grandchildren: Mirya, Coretease, David (Kimberly), Datavion, Simion, Egypt, Corlasha, Kesean, Ny-Air, Lyric, My’Harmoni, Diana, Sharmara, Ja’karria, Khalil (Blake), Zachariah, Clifton, Aniyah, Kayden, Alexandra (Curtis 4th), Ya’Riyah, Jimmy 3rd (Shanice), Malachi (Bethani), sister; Helen, brothers: Jamie, Curtis 3rd (Chelita), Danny (Lisa), nephews: Michael, Kevin (Ashley), Brandon (Ariel), niece; Chanel and their children, uncles: Melvin, Reginald, several cousins, close brothers from another mother: Paul Kim, James Murphy, Jerod Oden, second mother; Della Robertson, along with many friends and associates on his life journey.
Curtis is joining his Heavenly squad daddy Curtis, Sr., mother; Genevia, brother; Vincent, grandparents: Roscoe (Mamie), his loyal canine fur baby; Star (12/31/2022) along with a host of extended family and many wonderful friends.
A visitation for Curtis will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 2:00 PM until time of service at 3:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL 36571.
