Charles Maxwell Jordan

Charles Maxwell Jordan, 90, of Saraland entered into rest Monday, August 17, 2015 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, Oak Grove Chapel. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pastor Dave Rhodes will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Jordan proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Bertram and Lottie Beatrice Maddox Jordan, the late Mabel Ruth Jordan, two brothers, John David Jordan and Maurice Jordan, and two sisters, Nellie Ruth and Eleanor Glynn.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Christine Jordan, a son, John Phillip (Paula) Jordan, two daughters, Sharon (Anthony) Hudson and Cindy (Tony) Kittrell, five grandchildren, John Alan Jordan, Christopher Phillip Jordan, Jordan Felicity Kittrell, Rhonda Leigh Bishop, and Daniel Lynn Bishop, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers include John Jordan, Chris Jordan, Tony Kittrell, George Maddox, David Yoas, and Davey Yoas. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Maher Sahawneh and Dr. David Ross.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Chickasaw United Methodist Church.
