Carl Earnest "Skip" Bretzman

Carl Earnest “Skip” Bretzman – a 70 year-old native of Mobile, Alabama and resident of Axis, Alabama passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023. He was the former owner/operator of Axis Nursery and was employed with Greer’s Grocery for the past 10 years as a delivery driver. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who never met a stranger. He loved taking his Corvette out for long drives.

Mr. Bretzman was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Frederick Bretzman and Martha Olene Webb Bretzman. He is survived by his beloved wife of nine years, Sherry Bretzman; children, Carl E. “Brett” Bretzman, Jr. (Mandy), Lauren Vinayak (Ravi), Zachary Bretzman, Carlie Bretzman, Kathleen Timberlake, and Nancy Timberlake; sister, Karen “Candy” Painter (Doug) 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 2 p.m. from Creola Community Church, formerly known as Creola United Methodist Church.
