Betty Joyce Gulley

Betty Joyce Gulley, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Gulley is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lilly White; husband, Robert "Bobby" Gulley; son, DeWayne Robert Gulley; siblings, Willie Mae Allen, Lillian "Boots" Patrick, Lucille Winners, Virginia Hudson, Gladys Davis, Samuel White, James White, and Benjamin "Bit" White; and an infant brother. She is survived by her son, David William Gulley, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Gulley was a longtime member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Betty and Bobby were always together until his death in 2021. They owned and managed Gulley's Patio Apartments and enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, gardening, Alabama football, and visiting family and friends. Betty was very compassionate and kind. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the service hour.
