Al Pipkins was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend to all who knew him. He was an entrepreneur, a born salesman, a barbershopper, a fisherman, and a talented woodworker. He loved growing up in a small town full of friends and extended family. He especially loved to visit with all his family at family reunions and made sure to be there every year.
He and his wife Doris started a business designing and selling business forms. The business grew and changed many times, always providing well for family and those who worked for him.
He loved to sing, especially barbershop. He sang with the Pride of Mobile and really loved barbershop contests, conventions and woodshedding.
His love for and attention to detail made him a great woodworker. He loved to create something beautiful from wood, and also loved to discuss in detail how the piece was made.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Doris Pipkins and his son Jeff Pipkins. He leaves his daughter and son-in-law Vicki and Bill Britton, his son and daughter-in-law Glen and Jan Pipkins, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
