A native Californian, Roy loved being and working in nature. He and Ryan spent many wonderful hours off-roading, motorcycle trail riding, camping, and boating. He had a wonderful sense of humor, quick wit, and an infectious laugh. He frequently saw the best in others and made friends wherever he went.
Anyone who knew Roy will remember his passion for renewable energy, particularly solar. He designed and built many solar installations, from small residential to large utility scale projects, both in collaboration with other contractors and through his company, REP Energy. His most personal legacy, a partnership in DRES Quarry, is a utility scale project in Novato, CA, which sells its power to Marin Clean Energy. He leaves the world a better place.
In addition to his son Ryan, Roy leaves behind his sisters, Joan Robichaux (Aaron), Wanda Roberts (Milo), and Jan Phillips, his former wife.
Roy will be missed.
