Born and raised in San Jose, a product of local schools, including two degrees from San Jose State University. She spent thirty years of her career as Accounting Officer of the University. As a retirement gift, her colleagues established a scholarship in her honor for undergraduates at the School of Business. As a cancer survivor, she was a volunteer at the American Cancer Society for twenty-five years. After her retirement, she and her late sister Edna Sousa spent their years traveling throughout the world, obtaining the stamps of forty-nine different countries on their passports. She leaves many cousins and friends throughout the world. Visitation begins at 5pm, and the Rosary service is scheduled for 7pm, Wednesday November 15 at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11am, Thursday November 16 at St. Martin of Tours Church, 200 O’Connor Drive, San Jose 95128. Entombment follows at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
