Tony "Boss" Camarda

Anthony J. Camarda, of San Jose, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at the age of 94. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ann Camarda and daughters Dea Catihanan (Elmer), Ann Marie Antes (Scott) and Kathy Castillo. He was deeply loved by his seven grandchildren: Tony Castillo (Lindsay), Cortney Atsatt, Ana Castillo, Emily Atsatt, Briana Antes, Kayla Antes and Nicole Antes. He will be deeply missed by his 2 great grandchildren: Antonio Castillo and Valentina Castillo.

Tony was born on July 08, 1927 in Chicago Illinois. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army having served in WW II. He married his wife in 1958 and settled his family in San Jose California in 1969. Tony worked as a bricklayer much of his life, but ultimately retired from the Navy as a Building Inspector. He was a proud member of Sons of Sicily, The American Legion and the Elks Club for many years.

Tony will be remembered for how deeply he loved and was loved by his family and friends. His jokes and goofy nature will live on in his daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren for years to come.

The family will celebrate his life with a private service due to Covid restrictions. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Wounded Warriors Project.
