Thomas Romano was born on March 1, 1932 to Vincent Romano and Josephine Chirco. He used to say that on that day there was a big storm and the lights went out and my grandmother had to have 2 teeth pulled! He had a good sense of humor! Tom was one of 5 children, brother Basil Romano, Marilyn; sisters Rosalie Fontana, Aldo; Sadie Calicchio, Aleo; who proceed him in death, and Marylou Baker, Robert. Tom worked in produce for over 45 years, driving trucks in his early years and later retiring from Lunardi’s Fine Foods. He was married to Genevieve (Genny) Tripoli for 66 years and a resident of Saratoga, CA for over 70 years. They had 3 children, Vincent Romano, Dorris; Patricia Cooper, William; Thomas Romano, Renee. He adored his 6 grandchildren, Adrienne Romano-Blair, Steven; William Cooper, Jr; Richard Cooper; Joseph Cooper; , Andrea Padgett; Nick Padgett, Chloe. His great grandchildren, Isabella Blair and Adalynn Padgett lit up his world! He was a Veteran of the Korean War and served in the National Guard. He and Genny enjoyed camping and fishing with friends and family. Tom really enjoyed watching sports, mostly football and basketball with his family and especially loved when his grandsons would surprise him with a visit or a milkshake! He loved to be with family and friends laughing and joking around! On Sundays past, you would see him playing football with his nephews in the front yard at his moms house or baseball at the park around the corner! Family was everything to him! Tom had numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved and adored. He was a devoted husband and father, grandfather and great grandfather, Uncle and Godfather and friend. He will be truly missed.
