To my dearest friend, since high school, I am barely finding out about your passing. This has saddened my heart. There are so many memories to share. We had good times and bad. But I can’t say how much fun we had together and how many fights we had together and most of all, we had each others back at all times. I can’t believe it my good friend we lost a young beautiful soul! May you Rest In Peace my love ❤️ 

To my Dearest friend Sonia Marroquin, when I first saw you in high school I knew we would automatically become friends, We would walk together to school and we would walked each other home, you were like my sister I never had. 
Our bond and friendship was strong, I remember picking you up from school when I was sick I would beg my dad to come and pick you up from school, my parents loved you! You were so kind and a extremely strong person! When we became adults when separated and went our own ways and reconnect again, got to meet your son when he was a baby, we had plans to hangout again. We will soon reunite again.
I will miss you so much!

I’ve known Sonia close to a decade.
The first time I met her I thought she was adorable because she was always complementing my smile and my looks. She told me I was really beautiful and she went on saying that for years. She became a close friend in my life.  
The first time i invited her over, she scared me because she had this tough yet gentle attitude.  She had brought over two friends of hers to my house. We all were chatting and I noticed her getting upset with one of her friends and she told them “we’re leaving.” I honestly thought I did something wrong but later that night her friends called me and said they needed me to pick them up because Sonia was getting arrested. Long story short Sonia was upset her friends were talking to me and they said she got jealous and she thought they were trying to steal her friend which was me. 

That was the first time we hung out and I was spooked. But I fell in love with her, she grew on me as a friend and I never had someone that admire me the way she did. I don’t know if she knew but all the compliments she gave me really helped me in a time I needed the most. I feel like she thought I had it together but I really didn’t. I just wanted to be a good friend for her. 


I’m devastated that she is gone. She was a really good person. I saw her other side and I just know she has gone through a lot and I wish I could have gave her that comfort  she needed.

Not everyone meets someone like Sonia she was very rare. I am so blessed for our friendship and bless my family new her.🙏🏽

On our last call, Sonia shared how proud she was of me & how she was going to baptize baby Mason (My son) we were both very happy and excited. I wanted to take this moment to share the same, I was proud of her.  Sonia’s life was far from easy and somehow she found love, built a home, developed a career she could be proud of and raised an intelligent, bold, and beautiful son. I am so proud of her for beating the odds! Every day she inspired me...and she still does. 
You are gone way too soon and I look forward to the day I will see you again. Rest easy my sweet friend. I love you. You fought so well, you inspired so many, you loved so deeply, you lived so loudly, no one that ever knew you can ever forget you, Sonia, I never will. Raymond, Annavaeh, Mason & I love you so Much! 💕



Sonia, I’m so heartbroken to hear of your passing. I’m going to miss you so much, no one will ever have my back the way that you did. I miss you :(

Sonia is a great mother and I wonderful soul. I met her in 2006 she was always fun loud and had a crazy laugh. Which she thought was annoying but didn't care. Our friendship had its rocky moments but no mater what she is my friend and I will miss her on this earth. I pray God gives her son strength and guides him during this tough time..prayers for everyone affected by the loss. May you rest in piece sonia you will be dearly missed. I can still hear her carch frame what up though with emphasis on the though. If u know u know. 

Sonia was such a fun person to be around her energy was EVERYTHING I’m glad I have memories with her and got to know her as a person . We both clicked so fast because we were Leo’s are bdays were days apart . Long live Sonia 🕊❤️🙏🏽

Thank you so much to everyone for being here today to celebrate the life and honor the memory of my Friend Sonia. To explain just how much my friend means to me is an impossible task, but I want to make sure that I pay tribute to my friend Sonia at her funeral. Sonia was one of the strongest, bravest, and kindest humans to grace this planet. Without her, I wouldn't be here today, I wouldn't be the person I am, and I wouldn't have the life I have. She is everything to me she’s family, and more, and there's no way I could ever quantify the importance she's held in my life. Sonia was the best mother a person could ask for. 
Thank you, Sonia, for everything.

There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart & If roses grow in heaven,  Lord please pick a bunch for me, Place them in her arms and tell her they’re from me.
