

Sam, 94, is now with his Beloved Lord. He proudly served his country in WWII as a front-line medic in Okinawa, patching up the wounded and saving scores of American soldiers in the thick of battle. As a result, he earned a Purple Heart and Bronze Star and has been featured in the news as a WWII hero. After the War, He became a highly skilled electrician and was a member of the IBEW Local 332 for 70 years. Sam was a great provider who had the biggest smile when surround¬ed by his family. His pas¬sions were entertaining, food, hunting, fishing, and playing great music on his harmon¬ica. He loved his Lord and enjoyed ministering at Gospel services. He is survived by his son David (Judi), daugh¬ter Linda (Jim); his grandchil¬dren Dan (Jeanna), Deborah, and Jennifer; his great-grand¬daughter Sofia; sister Rebecca (Cliff); brother Mike (Marion); many nieces and nephews; and his friends at Belmont Village. Sam was preceded in death by his loving wife Vicky of 60 years; 10 broth¬ers and sisters; and parents Antonio and Lena. Loved by all; he will be dearly missed. Visitation will be Fri. Apr. 6 from 10 to 11am at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N Winchester Blvd.; Funeral will follow at 11am. Entombment will follow in Los Gatos Memorial Park in San Jose.
