Richard Longoria Jr., Rick, Big Rick, Gramps, Uncle Slick, age 64 of Pittsburg, California passed away in Martinez, California on the morning of Friday, August 19, 2016. After putting up a strong fight against lung cancer.
Richard worked as a driver for many years. He loves baseball and football, San Francisco Giants and SF Forty Niners. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, barbecuing, walking his dogs and going to IHOP. He was also known for being funny and always rhyming. But most of all being a FAMILY MAN! He loved his family with all his heart…
Richard was born in Huston, Texas on November 22, 1952, moved to California with is parents Richard Longoria Sr. and Mary Chavez and 8 siblings in 1962.
Richard is survived by his 8 siblings Dolores Ramirez, Virginia Trujillo, Gloria Garcia, Yolanda Hernandez, Roy Longoria, Mona Lopez, Mark Longoria and Carolyn Longoria. Many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Richard is survived by his oldest son Richard Longoria III from his first marriage in 1970 and his grandchildren Michael, Vanessa, Abrianna and Richard IV Longoria.
Richard is survived by his children from his second marriage in 1977 Regina Rendon, Elizabeth Longoria and Robert Longoria, his grandchildren Deanna Rendon, Pablo Rendon Jr., Celena Rendon, Blazita Longoria, and one great-grandchild Paulina Rendon.
Richard is survived by his wife Juanita Longoria and step-children. Richard was married to Juanita on February 14, 1998 and she has been his hunny bunny for over 24 years. Along with this beautiful marriage came five wonderful step-children and two grandchildren, Elijah Aquino and Elysa Aquino. He was a wonderful step-father.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 5-9PM with Rosary beginning at 7PM at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11AM at St. Leo the Great Parish, 88 Race St., San Jose. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln St., Santa Clara.
