Richard passed away peacefully at home in Tucson, AZ at the age of 73. Richard was born and raised in Santa Clara, attended Santa Clara High School and relocated to Tucson in 1982. He was employed by Coca Cola locally before going to work for Montgomery Ward in Tucson.
Richard knew how to enjoy life, he loved the ocean and enjoyed vacationing in Hawaii and Rocky Point Mexico. Although he lived in Cardinals territory he was still a loyal 49er fan, he also enjoyed Nascar races and spent many hours visiting with his friends at the various clubs he was involved in.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Emilia, his sister Frances (Blackmore) and brother John. He is survived by his brothers George, Henry and sisters Alice (DeMarco), Emily (Gonsalves) fun uncle to numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
A Celebration of life will be held Thursday October 12th at 6pm at Lima Mortuary in Santa Clara. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Lung Association.
