Priscilla was born in San Jose, CA to the late Elifas and Domitila Romero and brother Jess Romero. She was the loving wife for 45 years of Kenneth Connors, the proud mother of James Romero, Jason Lepper and Eric Connors (Hilary). More recently Priscilla took on the new title that she cherished as "Gamma". She was the proud and loving grandmother to Reece and Tyler Connors, whom she adored with all her heart and soul.
Priscilla is survived by her sister Irene, nieces and nephews Jessica (Jensen), Ryan (Jensen), Michael (Romero) Dionne (Hidalgo) and other loving family and friends who adored her and aspired to be like her.
Priscilla grew up in San Jose and graduated from James Lick High School and received many accolades, including being crowned Homecoming Queen. After high school she attended college for a while, then with her first husband, became the mother to her two sons, James and Jason.
Priscilla worked in the mortgage loan industry for 25 years, as a loan underwriter. Priscilla became the first female Vice President of loan services, with a national mortgage company. She was loved by her co-workers and clients, who considered her a great mentor in her field.
In the mid 1970's she met the love of her life in San Jose - Kenneth Connors. Ken says from the moment they met; he knew she was the woman of his dreams. They were married in 1975 and stayed happily married and devoted to one another, for the rest of her life. They eventually moved to the Sacramento area, then moved back to San Jose in the late 1980's, where she continued her work as an underwriter.
In 1995 they began their own company, CRW Development, where Priscilla did all the accounting, marketing, decorating and everything else to make the company function. Together they built numerous properties throughout the Bay Area and Central Valley. Priscilla, while battling cancer, continued to work side by side with her husband and sons, James and Eric, until she retired in 2005.
Pricilla's happiest times was with family and friends. She lived for get togethers with her grandchildren, family gatherings and traveling whenever possible. Spending time with her friends was equally important to her and Priscilla had many friends who cherished her. She also loved fashion and when her granddaughter and grandson were born, she took them on many shopping sprees. She always had a radiant smile that lit up a room, even while battling her disease. Priscilla was known and loved for kindness and compassion and a hero to her son Jimmy, along with others.
In her later years, Priscilla fought her cancer with super-human strength. She never complained and had an unwavering determination to beat her disease. By all that knew her, she was thankful to God for everyday that she lived. She was a person of great Faith. Her beautiful spirit and smile will be forever remembered by her husband, Ken, her sons, daughter-in-law (Hilary) and beloved grandchildren. She was the rock of the family. She lived for her family, friends and fashion.
A private service for the family will be held at Lima Family Erickson in Santa Clara. Interment will take place on January 15, 2021 at 12:00 pm at the Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. Due to current restrictions, a limited number of guests may attend. There will be a future celebration later this year, when permitted. Friends and family, in lieu of flowers, may donate in Priscilla's name to The American Cancer Society.
