Patrina Tyese Jones

Patrina Tyese Jones (Tee/Aunt Tee Tee) was the youngest of three daughters born to the late Lucille Tiese Jones and Newton Jackson Herman Jones in New York City.

Patrina started her education as a gifted and intelligent student in advanced classes. Her love of music began at the Wright Brothers' School which culminated in her acceptance to the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Arts. During this time, she enjoyed singing in the church choir and would eventually sing back up with her sister, Lady Bo, and late great Bo Diddley. During this time, they traveled from the East Coast to California which became the place where she decided to make her permanent residence shortly after graduating from high school.

Patrina was a self-taught software engineer and excelled in her career in the tech industry. Her desire to pursue her passions led her to enroll in seminary school where she earned a degree in Christian Ministries which resulted in her becoming a Deaconess at New Hope Baptist Church in Union City. Her love for God inspired her to create the Children’s Church program, volunteer for sick and shut-in families and commit to an unshakable faith. In her time outside of the church she enjoyed being a soccer mom and a doting Grandmother.

An introvert to the core, Patrina had extreme love for all things sci-fi. Everyone knew she loved her Star Trek and was a true Treky! She loved all the series, movies, and the latest show Picard. She enjoyed watching movies, reading, and researching. Her commitment to her family and their health resulted in her creating diets and vitamin regimens for them on a day-to-day basis. She had a love for the small things because they made her smile most. Patrina celebrated all accomplishments as they were all grand in her heart. She was extremely proud to pass down songs she created to her granddaughter and would sing "The Baby Boogie" and " You Better Brush Your Teeth" to create their own routines. She was so proud of her family and would remind people to always watch out for the Jones's. If she had, then her family had. Her sacrificial nature placed others before herself. Her heart could rest easy knowing that they would all be ok.

Patrina is survived by her only child, Yyana Janae Tyese Jones (daughter), Dayshia Janae Tyese Jones-Ochoa (Granddaughter), Patricia Tyese Jones aka Peanut Butter (sister), Alexandria Tyese Stewart (niece), Vanessa Tyese Stewart (niece), Amber Tyese-Paul Stewart (niece), Wally Malone (brother-in-law) & Paul Rossano (brother-in-law).

Proceeding in her passing was her sister Peggy Janetta Malone (Lady Bo).
