Patty was born in San Francisco to Nick & Janet Macris.The Macris family initially were residents of San Francisco then moved to San Jose California, where Patty graduated from Del Mar High School.Patty met Phil Manley at Foster’s Freeze in San Jose and married in 1968. One year later, they bought their house in Campbell and continued residence ever since (52 years).With the arrival of their son Nick and daughter Mary, Patty stayed home during their formative years and raised the family.Throughout her entire life, Patty was passionate about gardening and found happiness maintaining a beautiful home garden. Later, Patty turned her passion into employment, working for OSH Garden Center and Yamagami’s Nursery as department manager.Patty had always said, if she ever had grandchildren, she would stay home and help care for them. For over 16 continuous years, Patty cherished the time spent with her grandchildren Madison, Aidan, Morgan and Brendan.Together, Patty & Phil always enjoyed the beach; they considered Capitola their second home.Patty is survived by her husband Phil Manley (married 53 years), son Nick Manley (Robyn), daughter Mary Mashburn (Paul) and grandchildren Madison Mashburn, Aidan Manley, Morgan Mashburn and Brendan Manley. This includes all extended members of the Macris & Manley Families.While no formal service is planned, Patty’s ashes will be scattered in the ocean she loved, off the coast of Santa Cruz.In remembering the life of Patricia Ann Manley, Phil asks that you perform a kind act for someone and think of Patty.
