Born on July 9, 1926 in West Frankfort, Illinois. Mary passed away on November 26, 2017. She was the beloved daughter of Angelo and Josephine Basso, immigrants from Piedmonte, Italy. A graduate from San Jose High School, Mary enjoyed taking care of her home where she resided for the last 66 years. She is survived by her loving family: daughter, Sheila (Jerry) Ryckewaert and son, Steve Chiaramonte. She is also survived by grandchildren Lana (Albert) Correia, Brian Ryckewaert, Tony (Neha) Chiaramonte and Frank Chiaramonte. Additionally, she is survived by great grandchildren Tyler & Ryan Correia, Paige & Drew Ryckewaert, and Armaan Chiaramonte.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary on Tuesday, December 5, between 5 and 7 P.M. with a Rosary at 7 P.M. The Funeral Service will follow on Wednesday, December 6th, at 10 A.M. at the Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Boulevard, Santa Clara, CA 95050. Mary will be entombed alongside her husband, Phil, at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
