Maria M Neri

Maria M. Neri of Santa Clara passed away on Saturday, August 29, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was a strong and amazing woman, who to spite being one of the longest survivors of Polio in our country, lived fully and with passion. Maria was born in Carloforte Sardinia, Italy. She moved to San Francisco as a young girl and later attended Presentation High School. Maria had a deep love for her family, animals, cinema and entertaining. She is preceded in death by her mother, Angela Smernis; her father, Pietro Alimonda; and the love of her life and late husband, Carl Neri. Maria is survived by her granddaughter, Aurora Neri; Grandson, Seth Tipton (Elizabeth) and her great granddaughter, Jordan Tipton. Friends and Family are invited to a funeral service on Saturday, September 5th at 11:00 am. at Lima Family Santa Clara. Reception to follow.
