Kiss an angel good morning and let her know you think about her when she’s gone. On May 4, 2010, Linda Rabe floated to heaven on her angel wings. Those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. Her paint brush moved color across a canvas as well as coloring our lives with love. She will always be remembered for blowing bubbles, finding images in clouds, and storing fairy wishes in a jar. Linda’s passion for life started with her family and extended to her community. You would often find her gardening our lives at arts commission meeting with creative ideas, donating her time to museums, and costuming theater performances. She always had time for a cup of coffee, a good story, a game of pinochle, or just a nice long visit. Linda’s legacy is in the loves of her life; her best friend and loving husband Jim, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her many extended family and friends, Icky (aka William), and her chestnut tree. Adorable Linda, we scrunch our noses to you! The viewing will to be held at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary on May 12 between 5 and 9 PM. The Vigil/Rosary will be held at 7 PM. The funeral will be held at St. Clare’s Church in Santa Clara on Thursday, May 13 at 9:30 AM. Burial immediately following the funeral service.
