Larry, 76, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. He will be remembered for his kind giving nature and his dedication to his country. He served in the Marine Corps arising to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant before get¬ting a Commission to Second Lieutenant. Retiring after 21 year of service in two wars at the rank of First Lieutenant and receiving many awards including the Air Medal with Two Strike/Flight Awards, for Heroic Achievement in combat.
After the Marine Corps and moving to California he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and later Superintendent of the repair facilities at Anderson Pacific Engineering Construction Inc. in Santa Clara. Retiring from that career, he was very active in the Veteran community volunteering time with the Fleet Reserve Association, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Marine Corps League.
Larry is survived by his beautiful bride of 44 years Karen Lynn Webster; his two sisters, Elizabeth Boulanger and Ann Thompson; 6 children, Lawrie and her husband Adam, Luna, Larry Webster Jr., Danny Webster and his wife Donna, Steven Webster and his wife Veronda, Jeanine and her husband Dave, Christian and Charlie Webster and his wife Jen; 8 grandchildren, Makenna, Courtney, Monique, Tony, Heather, Jose, Brandy and Stephen; 9 great-grandchildren, Christian, Ashlynn, Celidh, Shea, Alexander, Desi, Alona, Meadow and Malaya.
Visitation will be Mar. 28 from 6-9 pm at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N Winchester Blvd. Burial will be private in the Sacramento Valley VA Natl. Cemetery in Dixon, CA. with military honors.
