He was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and Heald's Business College. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe, receiving the Bronze Star for his role in saving his division in Moncourt Woods, France. Ken worked for Dole Pineapple (Castle & Cooke) for 30 years. He is predeceased by his wife, Patricia, his parents, and his three brothers.
A quiet, gentle man, Ken gave of himself sacrificially throughout his life and was well-loved by all who knew him. He is survived by four children, Joan (Bill) Phillips, David (Melinda), Debra (Joe) Marino, and Richard (Connie), along with 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held January 11, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Lima Family Mortuary in Santa Clara, California.
