Born August 19, 1925, La Jolla California, Jacqueline left us on September 13, 2015. Long time resident of San Jose, she was the daughter of George and Virginia (Moore) deLorimier, brothers George, John, James, Richard and Thomas, sisters Virginia, Elizabeth and Patricia. She was a graduate of Pacific Grove High School, class of 1943, and Dominican College of San Rafael, class of 1948. Jacqueline taught school in the Salinas Valley for a short time before meeting her husband, Ret. Lt Col. Edmund Pickett. Edmund and Jacqueline were married on August 24, 1949 at St. Angela Merici Church in Pacific Grove. As an Army family, they traveled extensively, until 1966 when Edmund retired to Los Gatos California. Jacqueline spent most of her adult life as a mother and homemaker, returning to work in 1977 at Underwriter Laboratories, Santa Clara, where she retired from in 1993. Jacqueline enjoyed traveling, sewing, reading and every now and then, playing the penny slot machines. She was an avid Raiders, 49ers and A’s fan. Jacqueline is preceded in death by her parents, husband Edmund, sons Edmund Jr and John, brothers George, John and Thomas and sisters, Virginia, Elizabeth and Patricia. She is survived by children Thomas, Harry, Jacqueline, Samuel and Patricia; daughter in-law Julia, grandchildren Christine Feely (Craig), Kathleen Lucas (Scott), Amber Smith (Maria); great grandchildren Robert Howell, Megan Feely, Jacqueline Pickett, Alivea Castillo, Natalie and Katherine Lucas. She had an enormous heart and soul for her family and friends, she will be missed.
Rosary will be held 6:00 pm(visitation at 5pm) on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Lima Family Mortuary Santa Clara. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Friday, September 18, 2015 at St. Martin of Tours, San Jose. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Smith-Lemli-Opitz | RSH Foundation, Portland OR, or California School for the Blind, Fremont CA in honor of her great grandchildren.
