When we were kids Ernie told that Zoro was buried under his tree in his backyard. And we believed him!

I have lived across the street from Ernie for 40 years.  He had a big heart.  He helped me several times to take my trash to the street or put the containers back the next day.  He loved his cats.  He took care of a feral cat colony and worked with my daughter Kim to trap, neuter and return the ferals to keep the colony stable.   After his stroke, I took in his 3 house cats and they are being well cared for.  I know Ernie would be glad that they are doing well.  There are other neighbors who are continuing to feed the outside ferals.
