Ernestine Margaret Rossi Filice

Resident of San Jose

At the age of 94, Ernestine passed away surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with Alzheimer. Ernestine Margaret Rossi was born in Fairmont, West Virginia. When she was 14 years old she and her family moved to Gilroy, California. Preceded in death by her husband Samuel L. Filice and her parents Luigi and Gabriela Rossi. Sister of the late Marion (Midge) Rossi, Emil Rossi, and Raymond Rossi. Sister-in- law to Sue Filice and Ilda Rossi. Mother of Rachael (Mauro) Novara, Patti (Jack) Perkins, and Mary Lou Filice. She was referred to as "Nonni" by her grandchildren Sandra Anderson (David), Michael Novara and Dr. Brad Perkins (Jamie). She is also a "Great Nonni" to Sean Anderson and Allison Perkins. She will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her wonderful caregivers. Rosary and Mass will be celebrated at Carmelite Monastery, 1000 Lincoln St., Santa Clara, CA. at 10:00am Friday June 24, 2011. Burial to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
