Beatriz "Bea" Tavarez

Beatriz “Bea” Tavarez was born on March 12, 1929 in Morelia, Mexico. She was the oldest of 10 children. She came to the United States in her 20’s and lived in the Los Angeles area. She married the love of her life, Tony on February 14, 1958 in Burbank. She was a devoted wife for 61 years, when Tony passed in 2020. She served many years as a teacher’s aide at Lynhaven Elementary, and she worked for ten years at Woolworth's in San Jose. She was a strong woman, and loved by so many people. She loved hosting friends and family always cooking meals, especially the homemade tortillas or chile colorado.

She is survived by her children Andrea Sinn (husband Mike Sinn) Robert Tavarez (wife Kelly Tavarez) and her grandchildren Marissa (husband Isaiah Slemons), Justin, Alexander, Grant (wife Alyssa), Jacqueline, George (wife Jessie), Maximilian, Bernadette, Mary, Blaise, and Sophia. She has two lovely great-grandchildren, Magdalene (Grant/Alyssa) and Georgia (George/Jessie).

Bea loved her family, her Catholic Faith and read her “Sagrada Biblia” often. She loved traveling, spending time with family, gardening, and watching EWTN- Mass on TV.

Bea died peacefully on November 3, 2024. We will miss her very much.
