Xuan Phung Tran was born on a Wednesday, March 11, 1953 in Hanoi, Vietnam. She was the youngest in a family of five (2 older brothers and 2 older sisters) Her family moved to Saigon, Vietnam in July, 1954. She graduated from Fraternite High School in Saigon, Vietnam on May 12, 1972. She left Vietnam a few months later to Paris, France and studied at the Dauphine School of business Administration. In 1977, she moved to the United States from France. She relocated to Orange Country, CA in 1978. In 1984, Xuan was introduced to Duong Tran through a mutual friend. In the subsequent years as their relationship developed, they enjoyed many opportunities to travel with one another, which they continued to do so every year thereafter. In July 1990, Xuan and Duong got married. Throughout their 32 years together, they traveled all around the world, visited almost every continent, discovered over 30 countries, attended 3 out of 4 Tennis Majors, and got to experience many wonderful events and moments together. Xuan loved so many things in life but the things that meant most to her were her husband, her family, and her friends. Her passions were cooking (she was a great foodie), traveling, discovering new restaurants (and sharing them with her friends and family), hosting get together, and overall, being surrounded by people who she loved. Xuan was a generous and compassionate person. She helped the less fortunate than she was and supported the charity programs. Xuan is a special person with many gifts and talents. She has used her natural charm and communication skills to interact with people and help them. Many could testify to the positive impact she had made on their lives, whether they are her kin, friends, or just acquaintances.
