I'm so grateful for all the memories and that my Son had a chance to meet you. Thank you for all the random calls asking if I work at AAA, years after I left, to see if I can get you a discount and how to help you lol Thank you for my favorite bike that I got to floss around the neighborhood. Thank you Mr. Turtle, you got it for Mooshie but It was ours lol, we loved that turtle and you were amazed at how long he lived. Whenever, I think of a Cadillac I think of you and how cool you made it look. I'm thankful I was able to say goodbye and let you know much I love you ❤

Uncle Ray, I'm  going to miss the way you would open the door and say "Hi baby" and give the best hug ever. I just loved when you said that.  You always had the biggest smile that could brighten up anyone's day. Anthony and Tyler will always remember your jar of cookies in the kitchen. They always knew their Uncle Ray would never say no. I have many memories of my uncle. One of my  Oldest memories I have from the time I was a little girl is how he greeted me. 

He would say Pammy Wammy Boom Boom!!!  It made me feel so special & it still makes me smile to this day when I think about it!

I still remember my first and only time fishing just like it was yesterday I must have been around 5yo,Ray took me and Raymond early one cold morning.We we’re up before the sun rose,I could’ve been happier stopping at Bob’s Big Boy’s for pancakes,that wasn’t a every day,week or month thing back then.I stood in the hallway on 61st. Many mornings at the bathroom door watching him shave,always asking can I shave too.I can still here him laughing now “ That Boy always want shave”lol.I could go on and on but instead I’ll end by sharing the fact that Ray coming home was always the highlight of my days as a boy.

My brother-in-law who always cooked for me always when I came to town. Collard greens w/ ham hawks , white rice. Oh ; I can’t forget the corn bread  he made as well.  All was so delicious he made me feel very special. 🥲 I’m going to miss him. ❤️

A great man my sister would be very proud of him raising their son Marquis as a single parent. I’m so thankful to brother-in-law Ray he always put Marquis first in his life with no hesitation, his number one priority.

We have  so many great memories with you. Sunday dinner was the best you in the kitchen cooking your greens and black-eyed peas.  I remember you coming to my apartment  shouting toodie toodie, I open the door and he would said let’s go shopping. He was the best❤️ Even when I moved to Rowland Heights, I hear that voice Toodie Toodie it’s Ray Ray walking up😍 He would come to the Fourth of July picnic with his table and chairs him and his sister Jean and his best friend Charles, Sitting there for hours playing dominoes. I loved his handwriting. We received a Christmas card every year., We love you Ray Ray so much😍 please continue to watch over us. RIH

To My Grandfather RayRay,
I am sad to have heard of your passing, at the same time It was a BLESSING that you were able bodied and lived such an amazing 90+ years on this earth, and I am grateful to know you were up and at it and full of life for the years that God let us borrow your beautiful soul, until he called you home.
We all are only on this earth with borrowed time, and I am so glad I had the chance to know you, as many do not even get to meet their grandparents.
My fondest memories of you, was when I was younger coming to visit you and grandma Rosemary and to see my dad, Raymond. My mom & dad made sure I knew who you guys were and that I had a relationship with you even if not a daily one. And I appreciate that!!! I loved the park, all the  kids on the block, and just overall parties when I came over there to visit. You used to laugh at me all the time because I was always amazed at how long and thick grandma Rosemary hair was.
The one thing that  will stick with me is your smile, and your smooth walk and talk. Especially when you saw me like HEEEEYYY RAYSHONNNNDDAAA…. I was always Rayshonda, no matter how much you heard Mooney lol
 Always very patient and kind to me.
I remember when you sent Christmas cards to our house for the longest, the small gestures mattered and I was happy every time you did.
I have no regrets in life, however I do wish in my adult years we could have been closer, and my daughter would have known you better. I was happy to introduce the two of you at your birthday party at Kenneth Hahn park, and was happy to see how amazing honoring you went. 
You were great to your country, and your family , and will be greatly missed. I’m blessed for the time you were given.  We Love You.

First and foremost I would like to send out my condolences to everyone connected to this wonderful man.  

Ray was a very loving giving man.  Anyone who knew Ray felt his love and sincerity.  He accepted everyone as his own and loved you wholeheartedly.  His wisdom went on beyond his years, he always had something good to say and had a reasonable solution to anything.  His laugh was infectious, if he was laughing you were for sure gonna be laughing too.  I have so much love and respect for Ray.  He always invited my kids and I in whenever we would go visit with open arms and a big smile!  I have been out of California for 10 years so I didn't have the chance to see Ray in that time but his love, his spirit, his memory will forever live on in our hearts!  Say hi to Debbie for me Ray and know that I love you both dearly keep all your loved ones laughing up in heaven.  We all know we have a beautiful guardian angel watching over us now!

Papa, Lord knows this one hurt me bad. You were always there for me when I needed you. You helped my mom raise me since I was a baby. I cherished every moment we had together. From you saving me from getting my butt whooped, to you waiting for me to get out of school at 1 when I didn’t get out until 3, and to you making me my favorite hot water cornbread and chicken noodle soup. You are my hero and I wouldn’t have it any other way. You always kept a positive attitude no matter the circumstance. I can’t thank you enough for helping shape me into the woman I am today. Thank you for the walks, taking me to my cheer practice, and buying me candy everyday from the ice cream truck at 2:00 pm. I remember you always told me, “Ori I have a lot of your baby pictures, but you can’t have them until I go.” Growing up you were already an old man, but for some reason I always thought you were going to live to be the oldest man on this earth. I couldn’t fathom the fact of letting you go. I love you Papa you always had my best interest at heart. Now you get to be reunited with my grandma Debbie, and your best friend Papa Chuck. I am so excited for you and until we meet again, please watch over us and protect us from any evil. ❤️ “Your little Ori”

Papa you’ve made such a mark on my life and I’m so grateful to have been able to make so many memories with you these last six years. From waking up in the mornings and heading to the diner to our driving adventures, I will never forgot our talks and all the wisdom you passed along. All our laughs together. Boy did we alway have something to laugh about! The kids adore you and always talk about their “Papa”, we are so lucky to have been able to spend everyday together making so many memories. I could only wish for more time, but until we meet again I will forever cherish all the time we had together. I love you papa may you rest in paradise! ❤️

Dad, I still remember you carrying me on ur shoulders as a little girl. Teaching me all the food groups. Lol,  I truly enjoyed talking with you about everything. I tried to make sure every time we spent time together it would forever be memorable. I recall u saying “ Snake this is the most beautiful place i ever been”  Every visit. I recall for years you took mom flowers. You knew how much she loved you.  I saved the letters u wrote me & all my bday cards.

I have many many  memories of my grandad William V. Ross A.K.A Ray Ray…. When I was a child my grandfather taught me how to ride a bike and he gave me my nickname tooka because I had a train that made the sound took took.. I use to Love to  ride around with him in his Cadillac listening to jazz music and also him talking about the mighty mighty  Los Angeles Dodgers. Ray Ray was always interesting in my well-being and knowing what I was up to in life , and he always had positive And knowledgeable  life

You always had something cooking on the stove  and enjoyed a good meal with a beer. 
Grandpa Ray Ray loved his children, grand children and great grandchildren.
Showing up to family weddings, Birthdays and Holiday gatherings. So many people enjoyed being in  your presence and I think it’s because you were never afraid to just be you! 

My last memories with you are great.
Your grandson Marvin Caruthers & I took you to a casino this past July;
you play the slots and watched the football game on the Big screens with your beer we had a ball that day.

Your legacy will live on for generations to come my dear Ray Ray love your granddaughter Quiana Fields.
