Phap Danh – Dieu Tam
1931 – 01/19/2024
I had the most AMAZING, CARING, LOVING, KIND, SMART, WISE & WONDERFUL MOTHER ever!
I say this not only from a daughter's perspective but also from the eyes of an outsider appreciating the GOODNESS in another human.
I am certain that all my siblings share & agree on this sentiment as are others who came in contact with her.
My Mother was truly an AMAZING person!
Born poor with only first grade education, my Mother through sheer hard work, perseverance, & smartness built a bicycle shop, construction business & other business ventures in Sài Gòn, Việt Nam.
Thinking of her children's future, she insisted & urged my Father to flee Việt Nam in 1975, thereby abandoning all my parents' business creations, efforts, wealth & a comfortable livelihood.
Our family arrived in the US in 1975, but only one year later my Father passed away, leaving my Mother alone to raise 10 children all on her own with 7 of us under the age of 14 & my oldest brother being mentally challenged.
She later told us it was really difficult during the early years & she felt exhausted at times, but was never unwavering in her commitment, dedication & determination in making sure that her children would have a better & brighter future.
She constantly & wisely urged each one of us to study hard & pursue higher education, because only then could we elevate ourselves.
She also imparted WISE advices such as conduct our lives in goodness & good things return to us ("Có Đức không sức mà ăn").
Her caring & loving nurture were ENDLESS, her kindness BOUNDLESS, her smart intelligence UNCOMPARABLE, & her cooking simply the BEST!
I already MISS her so MUCH!
Mom, we will always remember our times with you and cherish your sacrifices, loving and caring for us and your grandchildren forever. We will never forget your wonderful cooking for Giỗ, Tết and many family celebrations. Chúng con và các cháu sẽ luôn nhớ đến công lao dưỡng dục và tình thương bao la của Má.
Grandma, we always love and appreciate you for loving and taking care of us while our parents went to work. We appreciate you for guiding our parents and us with strong family values, thoughtfulness, and well manners. We will remember our many vacations and celebrations with you forever. We miss you very much. RIP, Grandma!
All of us children & grandchildren will forever remember your LOVE & SACRIFICE! We wish MÁ eternal PEACE & HAPPINESS & to speedily achieve NIRVANA in the embrace of AMITABA!
Chúng con & các cháu chắt cầu mong MÁ sớm siêu thoát luân hồi chuyển kiếp được NIẾT BÀN an lạc nơi miền TÂY PHƯƠNG CỰC LẠC cõi PHẬT A DI ĐÀ!
