Stefanie was born on April 23, 1974, in Garden Grove, California. She grew up in Orange, California and attended Villa Park High School. She was raised a nice Catholic girl until she listened to Adam Ant as a teenager. When she realized she’d couldn’t marry Adam Ant, she fell in love with the lead singer of a punk rock band and they spent the next 28 years together.
She obtained her Associate’s Degree in English from Santa Ana College and wanted to pursue a career as a Preschool teacher.
She and her life partner, Sean Leonard, made the most of those 28 years together! They were soul mates and best friends and she was his biggest cheerleader.
She had a zest for life and loved to travel. She went all around North America, visiting many states and several countries. She loved nature, camping, the outdoors, and cloudy days. She loved dressing up in costumes and her favorite holiday was Halloween.
Stefanie was very involved in political activism. She was a feminist, vegetarian, animal rights activist, and against police brutality. She was a fierce protector of the innocent.
Stefanie had so many friends and family who loved her and she treated each one with kindness. She showered her friends and family with generosity and shared her sweet, open spirit with all. She was loved by so many and her passing has left a huge hole in our hearts.
Stefanie is survived by her partner Sean Leonard. She is also survived by her mother, Anne Leonard and sisters, Kristal Leonard, Kay Leonard, and Shelly Braziel. She is also survived by aunt Mary Lee Leonard and uncles Charles Leonard, Melvin Yow, Ronald Yow, and Tom Yow; brother in law Josh Braziel; cousins Andrew Frizzle and Amber Leonard Alibrio; nephews Evan, Hayden, and Jace Braziel.
