Ruth Grace Pyles

She was the daughter of the late Rev. George and Dorothy (Reed) Guisler. During her life as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, nurse and caregiver she also resided in Rochester NY, Fairfax VA, Gainesville FL, and lived in Cypress, CA since 1975.

She is remembered by her children Robert Lee Pyles, Gloria Kim Sharer and Christopher Mark Pyles; her Grandchildren, Jonathon Reddick, Patrick Pyles, Jason Sharer, Holly Kruger, Heather Lowen, Hilary Sharer, Autumn Pyles, Lana Echternach, Mia Echternach and Anya Echternach; and her great grandchildren Jasmine, Logan, Landon, Trevor, Kaitlyn, James, Tyler, Aiden, Maya and Makayla.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) Lincoln Pyles, her daughter Carol Ann Echternach and her brothers George and Paul Guisler.

Ruth was married to Bob for 59 years. Their love was true to their vows, it survived for better and worse, when they were richer and poorer, in sickness and health. He cherished her and she loved him until the day she left us.

Ruth was a faithful member of Buena Park Crescent Avenue Church of the Nazarene (now Guidestone Church) since 1976.

Living up to her middle name Ruth lived her life with love and ‘Grace’. She appreciated and loved all of God’s animals and treasured the many pets she cared for over the years. Ruth loved her garden of roses, colorful flowers, and her precious lemon tree.

Ruth was, at heart, a caregiver and would offer all that she had when a loved one was sick or in need. She had a seemingly endless capacity for forgiveness and compassion for family when times where hard and she cherished time spent together with them in the happiness of holidays and special occasions.

She lived with a grateful heart valuing what she had and finding joy in simple pleasures. Most of all she valued life, hers and the lives of others, she loved God faithfully and loved her family without reservation or exception. She will be missed, until we meet again…
