Bob passed away peacefully with his wife, Marilyn, at his side. He was born to Winifred and Eugene Hawkins in Detroit, Michigan, eldest of six of an Irish Catholic family. As a young boy, his family moved to Sierra Madre, with a beach house in Balboa.
Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved his family first although his Model A (which he refurbished himself) was a close second! He served his country in the US Navy, had a lifetime career at North American Rockwell (Autonetics) and Northrop Grumman where he worked on the B-2 bomber, was a proud member of OC Model A Ford Club, Knights of Columbus, Santa Ana Elks and American Legion.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn, daughters Beth Rosales (Al), Melissa Johnson (Dexter), Katie Lee (Mark), Pamela McCarthy (Keith), Cathleen Hagins (Steve) and son Monsignor Douglas Cook. He leaves behind three sisters, Patricia Manzo, Kathleen Bannert (Clark) and Maureen Cox (Bruce). Grandchildren: Nicole Rosales, Ashley Rosales, Christian Hawkins, Dexter Johnson, Jr., Holly Masgras (Paul), Kiernan McCarthy, Kallie McCarthy and great grandson Paul Masgras, III. Predeceased by his wife Dolores Cook and his two brothers Timothy Hawkins and Michael Hawkins.
