Robert Weir Bell, born on May 30, 1934, passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 90. A respected resident of Irvine, California, Robert, fondly known as Bob, led a life marked by dedication and service to his community.
Bob was elected Mayor of Villa Park in 1990 and held the position for three terms. His commitment to public service extended to his role on the city council, where he served for 16 years. In addition to his civic duties, Bob was a volunteer firefighter for over 20 years, culminating in his service as the Fire Chief of the Volunteer Fire Department of Villa Park. Bob was an incredibly accomplished man, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and community service.
A visitation will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Park Mortuary, Waverley Chapel, located at 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705, on March 26, 2025, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same location from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. A graveside service will take place at Fairhaven Memorial Park, Lawn AX, also at 1702 Fairhaven Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92705, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Bob will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his community and his many contributions to public service.
