Michael Anthony Ramsdell

Ramsdell, Michael Anthony, age 66, passed away November 28, 2015. Michael was born at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Norfolk, VA on November 25, 1949. He was predeceased by his parents, Winston H. and Dorothy W. Ramsdell and by his beloved brother, Stephen. Mike is lovingly survived by his wife, Gayle. Mike's dad was a career naval officer and in his early years Mike and his family lived in Bonn Germany followed by Pear Harbor, HI and finally settled in Southern California, the last 28 years in Cypress, CA. Michael loved life, Rock & Roll, the Blues, baseball caps & t-shirts, the Angels and golf. Best of all he loved his family, most importantly the love of his life and best friend "Favorite Gayle", his wife for 34 "Wonderful" years. He was more like a brother than a brother- in-law to Dube and Marie Dubreuil, Chris and Ray Hartzag, Carol Dubreuil and SantMukh Ramsdell. He loved being Favorite Uncle Mike to Robb Dubreuil, Lisa Smith, Katie Paulsen, Aimee Dubreuil and Guru Darshan Ramsdell, and favorite Great Uncle Mike to Kyle, Ryan, Carly and Dominic. Mike served honorably in the US Navy including a tour in Vietnam, after being sworn in by his dad at his induction. His career included working at the railroad, Todd Shipyard, McDonald Douglas, Boeing, Couch & Philippi, Corning and Western Digital from which he retired in February 2012. Mike was a music enthusiast; he could name the artist and title to thousands of songs. His jovial laugh (which, along with his red hair, earned him the nickname, Bozo!) will echo in our hearts forever and he will be missed by his family, friends, colleagues and all who knew him - everyone he met became a friend. Family and friends are invited to the services to be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 12:00 noon, at Waverly Chapel, Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, California 92705.
