

Mano was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka on March 21st, 1941 to Sam and Jasmine Alexander. She was third of five children. She grew up in Jaffna and Colombo. The Gospel came to the Alexander’s in Jaffna, Sri Lanka in the year 1956. Her parents embraced the truth and their home in Jaffna became an open home to workers and friends. Fellowship meetings were held in their home and workers in Jaffna batched at the Alexander home.
Mano professed in her early teens years and kept her faith until the end. While in Jaffna she played the organ for Gospel meetings and continued with her love of piano. She enjoyed playing hymns for many years which was a source of joy to her and those around her. Following her college days in Jaffna, she qualified as a chartered secretary and worked in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Her adventurous spirit and her
courageous outlook took her to Zambia. She was recruited by the
government of Zambia and worked for the Ministry of Health in the
capacity of Assistant Director. When she finished her contract in Zambia, she moved to London and worked there.
In 1978 she moved to the USA and worked as an Office Manager in a cardiologist’s office in Connecticut. She moved to California in 1984 and was self-employed working in the medical field until she retired. Mano loved to travel. She became an avid traveler and traveled to many
countries for many years with her sister, Mani. Mano will be remembered by her family for her love, kindness and her adventurous spirit.
Mano was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Jasmine. She leaves behind her four siblings and sisters-in-law Dushy, Elsie and Simi and nephews Ravi, Nishan, Dilan, Preveen and niece Geetha.
She will be deeply missed.
