John (Janos) Marton, 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday July 5, 2024. He was born on March 22, 1934, in Bekescsaba Hungary. John learned to be a baker in Hungary from his father and always enjoyed baking bread for his family. At the age of 20 John served two years in the Hungarian army then in 1956 moved to Switzerland. He was married in June of 1961 and by 1968 together with his wife Maria and three young children, they immigrated from Switzerland to Windsor Ontario Canada. John was a long-time member and minister in the Windsor Apostolic Christian Church. In 2012 John and Maria followed their children to the United States in Yorba Linda, California. John was a committed member of the La Puente Apostolic Christian Church and he continued attending the live stream services when he no longer was able to attend church in person. John was deeply committed and devoted to his Lord Jesus Christ and his family, loved Christian music, loved sharing his life story with everyone he met and leaves behind a legacy of love. John was a metal working machinist through his career in Canada and instilled a strong work ethic in his six children. John was preceded in death by his loving wife Maria in 2022 and is survived by his children Daniel (Marika), Robert (Sheila), Peter (Karen), Samuel (Velinka), Joseph and Melinda (Stephen) Bodjanac, sixteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by his brothers Gyula and Karl of Windsor and was preceded in death by his parents Dezso and Maria, and three brothers Dezso, Bela and Laszlo. John will be laid to rest next to his wife Maria at Fairhaven Memorial.
