Jim went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 11, 2020. Jim was born June 13, 1923 in Huntington Park, California to James Cameron, and May Lillian Catherine Gunningham Cameron. Jim graduated from Bell High School 1941 and he joined the Navy in August, l941. Jim was stationed in San Diego and sent right away to Hawaii after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He fought in several areas during World War II , but most of the time he was in the South Pacific. After military service he started working for Cherry Rivet of which he put in 40 plus years of service.
Jim was involved and loved every minute with “Clan Cameron of Southern California”. Jim loved his family and all the gatherings with his very own “Clan Cameron” family, with Easter picnics at the park with lots of food and games and at Christmas time with the infamous “White Elephant Party” get-togethers with family. He loved playing Mah Jong and card games with family and friends and all the other activities through out the years, i.e. birthday celebrations, graduation parties,weddings and entertaining visitors from out of state, taking vacations with them and enjoying each and every day as they came.
Jim leaves wife Marilyn, James, Jr. of Colorado, Beverly of Wisconsin, Gary of Anaheim and Charles of Washington, Carolyn of Merced and Cherylyn of Moreno Valley 10 grand- children, 8 great-grand children and 4 great-great-grand children.
His love of family and friends was unwavering . He was always very positive, had a loving kind spirit, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him so dearly.
