Elizabeth (Bette) Ross

Mom was born on June 23, 1932 to Marie and Harry Horn. She attended school in Southern California, eventually graduating from UCLA. She spent her years straight out of college teaching elementary school students. She married Robert Ross before the age of 21 and had three children no more than two years apart. She was married to "Guy" until his passing in 2006. Mom became an accomplished writer, publishing numerous books and other works. While she loved teaching and writing, she also loved to be steeped in the arts. She learned to draw, paint, and work with mixed media. Her home was frequently filled with the sound of classical music. Mom considered herself rich and blesse with family and friends. In her final week on earth, she spent time with each of her children, five grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. She was proud to have loved on her own for her entire life. She passed less than 24 hours from the onset of a sudden illness. She passed peacefully with her beloved children at her side. She is survived by two children, five grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and her sister Jane Mooney. She will be deeply missed by all.
