Born in Indonesia in 1934 the second oldest of five children in the family of a Chinese diplomat, he grew up in Indonesia, South Africa, Thailand, and Singapore before immigrating to the United States.
He graduated from Columbia Union College and Loma Linda University Medical School,
and served Los Angeles and its surrounding communities as a physician for over 45 years.
During college he met his wife, Ruby. They wed just after graduation, beginning a loving partnership that spanned the rest of their lives.
He is survived by his brother Edward, his sister Eimei; his children, Kevin and Stephanie;
daughter-in-law Rebecca, grandson Timothy, and a host of friends and extended family.
