Edward Rollins (Ed, Eddie, Bud), beloved husband, father and brother, passed away Friday, February 26, 2016 at age 89 in his home surrounded by family. Edward Keith Rollins was born on December 7, 1926 to A. Keith and Doris Rollins in Detroit, Michigan. He served his country in the US Army from 1944 to 1946, a proud World War II Veteran. Ed met his beloved wife Mildred (Fletcher) Rollins in Detroit and they were married in 1951. They were married for over 63 years until Millie's death in 2014. They moved to Orange, California in 1959 where they raised their family and enjoyed summers camping in Sequoia. Ed worked for Ford in Detroit and Ford Aerospace in Newport Beach for over 30 years. After his retirement, Millie and Ed lived part time in ldyllwild then moved to Sun City, California. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and working around the house and yard. He was the best Dad anyone could ever hope for and was always there for anyone in need. Ed is survived by and his three children, Daniel Rollins, Kevin Rollins, Jennifer Yonis (Lance); five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; his sister, Martha Harris of Tustin; his brother-in-law, Gary Erickson of Sky Valley; and he was Uncle Bud or Uncle Eddie to numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, brother, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, brothers-in law and his faithful cat Penny. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
