David Lee Goodwin

David Lee Goodwin, age 68 passed away peacefully in his sleep May 14, 2020 in Costa Mesa, CA. David was born July 7, 1951 in San Juan Capistrano to Elizabeth Rose. David aka Lalo grew up in the City of Orange and graduated from El Modena High School. David worked for the City of Orange Parks and Recreation and retired after a great 38 years of exceptional service. He loved his city. David was enjoying the retired life.

David had a passionate love for nature and animals. He was always full of life and energy through his years. David grew up body surfing in Newport beach and doing anything adventurous that was outdoors. You could always find David fishing at Irvine Lake, or camping in the Sierras. David loved to laugh and joke around. He loved to let loose, and loved off roading in the desert with his friends even more. His hobbies were old cars and cruising in his 1970 SS El Camino most his life. David was a great friend to many and a beloved Dad who will be greatly missed. David is survived by his 3 children Adam, Heather, Amber, and 6 grandchildren.

A viewing for David will be held Friday, July 10, 2020 at 12:30 PM followed by a funeral mass at 1:30 PM at Fairhaven Memorial Park Mortuary, Waverley Chapel, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705. A committal service will occur Friday, July 10, 2020 immediately following the funeral service followed by a reception at the Gallery, Fairhaven Memorial Park 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705.
