Chandrakant S Patel

We are saddened by the passing of Chandrakant Somabhai Patel on November 18, 2022, at the age of 74. Born on November 23, 1947, in Thika, Kenya, he married high-school sweetheart Sushila, and they enjoyed 51 years of marriage. Through his young adult life, he spent a significant amount of time moving through the world, working his way west to eventually settle in Southern California. Over the years, he grew his career of Orthotics and Prosthetics, successfully and enthusiastically running his business until just before his passing.

Chandra was a friend to everyone he met, always well-spirited and positive in all aspects of life. The love he had for music and education was known and appreciated by those who knew him best. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife, Sushila, two children [Reena (James) Freeman and Rishin (Rachel) Patel], and three grandchildren [Stella, Alastair and Oliver Patel].

We would like to thank everyone who has supported us through the last few months, especially Dr Shirish Patel and family, Dr Dilip Patel, Dr Sean Leoni, Harish and Gita Patel, Jeff and Patty Roberts, Alfredo and Flauren, Kenna and Dan, Champa and Keshav Patel, Jyoti and Ashish Patel.

Funeral services will be on December 2, 2022, at Fairhaven Memorial Park, with a private cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, we would prefer a donation be made in Chandrakant’s name to Save the Music.
