Carlos was born to his parents, Doris and Sigfredo Alba in Bogota, Colombia in October of 1950. He was the eldest of 6 children. He lived in the jungle of Costa Rica with his family for a few years before coming to the United States. Carlos served four years in the United States Navy, where he was stationed in Morocco. He went on to become a licensed Civil Engineer and land surveyor, with his own business and serving as the City Engineer for the City of Artesia. In May 1982, Carlos married the love of his life, Dina and together they raised two daughters, Christina and Kimberly.
Carlos had a passion for music and family. He made sure to introduce his daughters to his favorite band, The Beatles and other rock n’ roll bands. Carlos was a leader and a hard worker. Many looked to him for advice and guidance.
Carlos is preceded in death by his father, Fred, and he is survived by his wife, Dina, his two children, Christina and Kimberly, their spouses, his grandchildren, Caydence, Camila and Christian, along with his mother, brothers and sisters and many nephews and nieces.
