Wanda Armstrong Rublee, the 83 year old beloved mother of Carol Rublee Lanouette, Robert Rublee and Catherine Rublee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 7th at the Pines of Sarasota, where she was a resident. Wanda is the daughter of Rear Admiral Robert Gordon Armstrong and his wife Mildred, both deceased, and is survived by Wanda’s son Robert, her daughter Carol, Son in law Paul Michael Lanouette, granddaughters Breanna and Cosette Lanouette, sister Roberta Armstrong Hobbs and brother in law W. Bruce Hobbs and several nieces and nephews. Wanda will be put to rest beside her daughter Catherine Rublee. A burial service will be conducted at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sanford Florida on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 1:00pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Wanda’s memory to the Pines of Sarasota, 1501 N. Orange Ave., Sarasota, where Wanda was the first Administrator over the Assisted Living when it first opened. She later became a resident of the Pines nursing home.
