

Thomas Edgar Holstein Sr., 81, of Lake Mary passed away on Sunday August 21, 2016. Tom was born on January 22, 1935 in Altoona, Pennsylvania; the son of Benjamin Franklin and Minnie Mae Holstein. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force, and was a lifelong member of Masonic Lodge 127 in Clearwater, Florida. He married the love of his life, Ann Gale (Eddington) Holstein in 1978 which began the happiest years of his life. Tom had a legendary sense of humor complete with an endless supply of jokes, a ready smile and those blue twinkling eyes that lit up a room. He was a sensitive man who loved deeply and without hesitation while being the very foundation and strength of his family. Tom had a very kind heart and was extraordinarily generous with anyone who was lucky enough to know him. He was a selfless man who touched the heart and soul of so many people. Tom had an unequaled zest for life. He had fun! He loved the water, whether boating, fishing or swimming with his kids. He loved shooting his guns, collecting them, and was once caught practicing his cowboy quick-draw in the recliner. He also enjoyed golf, cars, motorcycles and entertaining everyone around him. Tom had a passion for sales. He was a Fan and Lighting Manufacturers Representative for many companies and took great pride in his business. His career was so fulfilling because of his close relationships to his customers, who were more like family and friends. Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Ann Holstein; children, Kerin (and her husband Ben Atkinson), Tracy (and her wife Donna Ardine), Jeff, Haven (and her husband Mark Murphy), and Thomas Holstein Jr.; grandchildren, Kristin, Connor, Chad, Corey, Layla, Thomas III, Ryann and Avery; great grandchildren, Kai, Lily, Miley and Zoe. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Ben Holstein, Betty Stambaugh, Mary Burchette, and Cal Holstein. In keeping with his wishes, a memorial service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford Florida 32771.
