Shirley Delores Johnson

Shirley Delores Johnson, 85, passed away on August 25, 2020. She was born in Washington, DC on October 7, 1934 to the late John and Ruth Henderson. She grew up in Potomac, MD and attended St. Martins Catholic School and Richard Montgomery High School along with her sister, Janet and brother, Johnny and numerous cousins from the Henderson clan who played a big part in her life!

Shirley was a woman of great Faith and a devout Catholic. She was a member of Nativity Catholic Church for over 40 years. She spent over 50 years as an “Avon Representative”, which was perfect for her with her outgoing personality. She loved to constantly be on the go. Traveling back to Maryland, cruising, going out to lunch, bowling and just being with family and friends shopping were some of her favorite things. Above all, Shirley was an incredible mother and grandmother, completely devoted to her family.

She is predeceased by her parents; husband, Robert Johnson; and daughter, Dawn Brown.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Karen Johnson Warnick, Deanne Anderson (Keith), Christine Johnson, Dana Boggs (Jeff), Robert Johnson (Betty), Eric Johnson; brother, John O. Henderson (Kathy); sister, Janet Warren (Bill); 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family members, friends and church family who will all miss her dearly.
