Salvatore John Romano

Salvatore John Romano, 89, of Sanford, Florida, passed peacefully from this life on August 3, 2018. Salvatore was born and raised in New Jersey where he also met and married the love of his life, his wife, Emily, they were married for 49 years. In New Jersey Salvatore worked for Westinghouse. Salvatore and his family relocated to the Sanford area over 30 years ago. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Salvatore also enjoyed going on cruises with his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Salvatore was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Emily. Left to cherish his memory are his children; Salvatore Romano, Jr., Ernie Romano (Lisa), Joe Romano (Barbara), Roseann (Jeff) and Darlene Hopler, his grandchildren; Tiffany, Jeffrey, Nicole, Steven, Salvatore III, Brittany, Mark, Eric, Ashley, Dylon, Kyle and Corey, and his 10 great-grandchildren. A visitation is scheduled for 10:00 ~ 11:00 A.M. on Saturday August 18, 2018 at the All Souls Catholic Church Historical Chapel, located at 800 S. Oak Avenue, Sanford, FL 32771. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
