In 1944, Rose married the late Franklin Roberts and they had four children. Before moving to Sanford, Rose lived in Connecticut, South Florida, and Port Orange.
Rose was an amazing seamstress. She had such a gift, she even sewed her oldest daughter’s wedding dress along with the bridal party dresses. Rose worked in a factory, but later in life she changed course and became a LPN so she could help others.
Throughout her life, Rose enjoyed serving Jesus in whatever capacity she could. She loved spending time with her children and their families. She was dearly loved and will certainly be missed.
Rose is survived by her son, Dwight, along with daughters, Francine Schuessler (Richard), and Rosemarie Pyle (Eugene) along with nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Rose was preceded in death by not only her husband, but by her eldest son, Franklin, her sister, Jane, and her brother, Mike.
A viewing for Rose will be held March 1, 2021 at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 Count Road 46A, Sanford, FL from 6-8pm. Rose’s celebration of life service will be at the same place on March 2, 2021 at 10am.
Following the service, Rose will be transported to the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell to be buried by her husband.
